Our Programs
The Community Wellness Workshops offered by Someone Still Cares embody our mission to restore hope and dignity by equipping Baltimore’s residents with the knowledge and tools to thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally. These workshops cover a wide array of topics, including stress management, nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and mental health awareness, tailored to address the unique challenges faced by our diverse community.

Community Food Drives
Our Community Food Drives are a cornerstone of our efforts to combat food insecurity in Baltimore. Held monthly, these drives mobilize volunteers and local businesses to collect and distribute food to those in need. Each event provides thousands of pounds of fresh produce, canned goods, and non-perishable items to families facing financial hardship. Beyond the immediate relief of hunger, these drives foster a sense of community, bringing together people from all walks of life to support a common cause. Our team ensures that every donation is distributed equitably, reaching those who need it most and reinforcing our commitment to compassion and care.

Back-to-School Supply Drive
Education is a pathway to opportunity, and our Back-to-School Supply Drive ensures that every child in our community has the tools they need to succeed. Each year, we collect and distribute backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other essential supplies to students from low-income families. Our team works with local schools to identify students in need, ensuring that no child starts the school year without the resources they require. In addition to supplies, we offer tutoring and after-school programs to support academic achievement. By empowering students with the tools and confidence to learn, we are investing in the future of our community.

Homeless Outreach Initiative
Our Homeless Outreach Initiative is dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in Baltimore. Our team conducts regular outreach missions, providing food, clothing, hygiene kits, and referrals to shelter and healthcare services. We take a holistic approach, offering case management to help individuals transition to stable housing and employment. Our outreach workers build trust with clients, listening to their stories and offering compassionate support. By meeting people where they are, we create pathways to stability and remind every individual that they are seen and valued.

Financial Literacy Workshops
Financial instability can trap individuals in a cycle of poverty, but our Financial Literacy Workshops provide the knowledge and tools to break free. These workshops cover budgeting, saving, debt management, and credit building, tailored to the needs of our community. Led by financial experts, our sessions are interactive and practical, empowering participants to take control of their finances. We also offer one-on-one counseling to address specific financial challenges, such as navigating benefits or planning for long-term goals. By equipping individuals with financial skills, we pave the way for economic independence and security.

Senior Support Program
Our Senior Support Program is designed to ensure that older adults in our community live with dignity and comfort. We provide companionship, transportation to medical appointments, and assistance with daily tasks such as grocery shopping or home maintenance. Our volunteers visit seniors regularly, offering emotional support and helping them stay connected to their community. We also partner with healthcare providers to ensure access to medical care and wellness programs. By addressing the unique needs of seniors, we show our gratitude for their contributions and ensure that they feel valued and cared for.

Mental Health Support Groups
Mental health is just as important as physical health, and our Mental Health Support Groups provide a safe space for individuals to share their experiences and find healing. Facilitated by trained counselors, these groups address issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, offering participants tools for coping and resilience. We also provide referrals to professional mental health services for those who need additional support. Our groups foster a sense of community, reminding participants that they are not alone in their struggles. By prioritizing mental wellness, we help individuals build stronger, healthier lives.
Our Services
The Healthcare Access Program at Someone Still Cares is a cornerstone of our mission to restore hope and dignity, providing comprehensive medical support to individuals in Baltimore facing barriers to care. Through strategic partnerships with local clinics, hospitals, and healthcare providers, we offer free or low-cost services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, and mental health counseling, ensuring that no one is denied wellness due to financial hardship.
Food Assistance Program
Hunger is a barrier to hope, and at Someone Still Cares Corp., our Food Assistance Program is designed to break that barrier. We provide nutritious meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity, ensuring that no one in our community goes to bed hungry. Through partnerships with local food banks, farms, and grocery stores, we distribute fresh produce, pantry staples, and prepared meals to thousands of individuals each month. Our mobile food pantry reaches underserved areas, delivering essential supplies directly to those in need. Beyond addressing immediate hunger, we offer nutrition workshops to promote healthy eating habits and empower families to make informed choices. Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that every meal is delivered with care, reminding recipients that they are valued and supported.
Clothing Distribution
Clothing is more than a necessity—it’s a source of dignity and confidence. Our Clothing Distribution service provides gently used and new clothing to individuals and families facing financial hardship. From warm winter coats to professional attire for job interviews, we ensure that everyone has access to appropriate clothing for all seasons and occasions. Our clothing drives, held throughout the year, collect donations from generous community members, which are then sorted and distributed at our Baltimore center. We also partner with local schools to provide uniforms and backpacks for children, helping them feel confident as they pursue their education. Every item we distribute is a step toward restoring pride and self-worth for those we serve.
Emergency Shelter Support
For those experiencing homelessness or housing instability, our Emergency Shelter Support service offers a lifeline. We partner with local shelters to provide safe, temporary housing for individuals and families, ensuring they have a secure place to rest and rebuild. Beyond providing shelter, we offer case management services to help clients transition to permanent housing, connecting them with resources for rent assistance, job placement, and financial planning. Our team works closely with each individual to create a personalized plan for stability, offering emotional support and encouragement every step of the way. At Someone Still Cares Corp., we believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home, and we are committed to making that a reality.
Healthcare Access Program
Access to healthcare is a fundamental right, and our Healthcare Access Program ensures that individuals in need receive the medical care they deserve. We partner with local clinics and healthcare providers to offer free or low-cost medical services, including check-ups, vaccinations, and mental health support. Our mobile health clinics bring care directly to underserved communities, removing barriers such as transportation or cost. We also provide health education workshops, teaching individuals how to manage chronic conditions, prioritize mental wellness, and access preventive care. By addressing both physical and mental health needs, we empower our community to live healthier, fuller lives.
Job Training and Placement
Economic stability is key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and our Job Training and Placement service equips individuals with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed. We offer comprehensive training programs in fields such as retail, hospitality, and technology, tailored to the needs of the local job market. Participants receive hands-on instruction, resume-building workshops, and interview coaching to prepare them for employment. Our partnerships with local businesses ensure that graduates have access to job opportunities, helping them secure stable, fulfilling careers. By empowering individuals with the tools for self-sufficiency, we create lasting change for families and communities.
Youth Mentorship
Our Youth Mentorship program is dedicated to empowering young people to reach their full potential. We pair at-risk youth with trained mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and support in navigating life’s challenges. Through one-on-one mentoring, group workshops, and enrichment activities, we help youth build confidence, set goals, and develop essential life skills. Our program focuses on academic support, career exploration, and emotional resilience, ensuring that every young person has the tools to succeed. By investing in our youth, we are building a brighter future for our entire community.
